Dear choir,

For your reading pleasure, I’m attaching a short article (in PDF format) from a recent Music issue of The Living Church, sent me by my former employer at Trinity Church, New Haven. I think it says a lot of things that could be applied to our music program, and it also gives us a basis of comparison with other programs. Churches like ours are really making an impact on young people’s lives. Please help to spread the word about our boys and girls choirs!

Of Historical Interest

While preparing for the April 4, 2009 Choir Festival Evensong - a joining of forces between the Boy and Girl Choristers of St. James Church, Madison Avenue, New York, and St. Peter's -  Brian came across this service bulletin from a January 22nd, 1890 service of Evensong. That Choir Festival Evensong was also sung by the combined choirs of these two churches!
