Membership at St. Peter's
The process of formalizing your membership in St. Peter's Church is simple: add your name to our membership rolls by filling out the Household Information Form and returning it to the Parish Office (or simply send an email letting us know you'd like to join).
Baptism (if you are not already baptized) and Confirmation or Reception (from another denomination), are further steps you may take to join the Church of Christ and/or the Episcopal church, but are not required to become a member of this congregation. Confirmation or Reception (offered once or twice a year in the presence of the Bishop) is necessary, however, should you wish to make a formal commitment to the Episcopal Church.
If you are already an Episcopalian, formal membership at St. Peter's may simply require a Letter of Transfer from your previous Episcopal parish. You can arrange to have your Letter of Transfer sent to us by calling your former congregation or else authorizing us to do that on your behalf. Complete a Household Information Form and return it to the Parish Office, so that we may establish accurate membership records.
Membership in the Episcopal Church
If you are interested in being confirmed or being received if already confirmed in another Christian tradition, please speak with a member of the clergy. The liturgies for Confirmation and Reception (PDF) are ordinarily held in the spring after Easter, following a period of preparation and instruction.
See Youth Confirmation and Adult Confirmation for schedules and other information.
