Music for Weddings

Because the marriage service is always an act of public worship, our policy regarding music for weddings is to ask the question: Would this selection be suitable for a Sunday worship service?  Such a question allows for a variety of musical styles, while maintaining the "God-ward" focus of the wedding ceremony itself.  Songs of a more personal or sentimental nature are often appropriate at the wedding reception or rehearsal dinner, and we encourage couples to include them at those events.

Brian Harlow (973-538-0555, x18 or bharlow@stpetersmorristown.org), our Director of Music at St. Peter's, will be happy to meet with you to discuss the music for your wedding.  Please note that he has final jurisdiction in matters of music, and his approval for any additional musicians must be secured at least one month before your wedding date.
